Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 10, 2011

Storify, a new application for storytelling with social media, announced today that it has integrated with MailChimp, providing an easy way for Storify users to publish and distribute their stories via email.

We love this application, commented Ben Chestnut, co-founder and CEO of MailChimp. MailChimp is all about helping our subscribers send useful content to their readers. But putting together stories for your newsletters can be hard. With Storify, anyone can easily curate information from the social Web and add personal commentary. We really see this as the cure to writers block.

Storify is a free application still in private beta that allows users to create stories from social media, offering a unified search interface for Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Google Search and other sources. With a simple drag-and-drop interface, writers can select and remix story elements, and add their own text to provide analysis and context. Stories can be published on Storifys Web site, embedded on any blog or site, or accessed through an API. For an example of a Storify story, see the featured story on events in Egypt.

Early users of Storify have included major media companies such as The Washington Post, NPR, PBS, the Los Angeles Times, ReadWriteWeb along with other bloggers and individuals.

To foster such partnerships, Mailchimp has launched an Integration Fund and is accepting applications from anyone interested in building on the MailChimp platform. Interested parties should complete a short form online to begin the application process.
