Publishing is enabled from a variety of sources, including desktop software, browser extensions, mobile phones, email/MMS and the company’s Web site. Application developers are able to integrate with and make use of the service thanks to Pixelpipe’s robust API as well as support for the Atom and Flickr APIs.

Pixelpipe also announced immediate availability of its iPhone application available for download from the iTunes App Store. The application provides the ultimate solution to iPhone users wishing to liberate their photos and publish to one or all 45 supported destinations at once. Users can select single or multiple images from the iPhone’s camera roll for upload and add titles, tags, descriptions and location information. Additional options include configuring accounts from the phone and posting to user-defined sub-groups of destinations.
