The acquisition results in a comprehensive offering of public relations and social media to complement Overit Medias existing services of marketing, design, motion graphics and video services. With the emergence of social media and todays digitally focused marketing world, PR has gained strategic importance in amplifying a brands message. This agreement significantly strengthens both organizations abilities to represent Fortune 1000 brands and emerging companies at the local, state and national levels.

Nicole Messier, Portfolios CEO, and her team will lead media and analyst relations, social media campaign development and all strategic elements of content development and SEO for Overit. Terms of agreement will not be disclosed.

Overit works for national and local companies including Nickelodeon, Hill & Markes, Albany Medical Center, DeCrescente Distributing, CDPHP, Marvel Comics, and Garrett Hotel Group amongst others. Portfolios technology and consumer practices add eleven new clients from locations including Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Seattle, Montana, Houston, New York and Boston. Together, the combined company will open Overits first California office. The acquisition brings Overit to a 32-person headcount.

The Portfolio PR brand will be transformed into Overits new public relations division, Overit PR, on January 1, 2012. Messier will join Overits senior management team and serve as managing director of the PR practice. Portfolios operations will be relocated from Saratoga Springs to Overits headquarters in Albany.

Overit will soon move its headquarters to the newly restored St. Teresa of Avila Church in the Helderberg neighborhood on New Scotland Avenue. The restored church provides office and conference space for Overit Medias web, design, branding, marketing and PR divisions, and includes a full-service music and video studio with optimal acoustics.
