MedTouch, the leading provider of web strategy and online solutions for healthcare, has won three Interactive Media Awards for its client work: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (dhortho.org) and Wishard Health Services (wishard.edu) both won Outstanding Achievement in Website Development, while Drexel Medicine won the highest honorBest in Classfor its new website, drexelmedicine.org.

The awards recognized the projects for meeting and surpassing the standards of excellence that comprise the webs most professional work, specifically for achievement in the Hospital category. In order to win this award level, the sites had to meet strict guidelines in each area an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each quarter. The judging criteria included design, usability, innovation in technical features, compliance and content.

The features of each of these projects highlight MedTouch expertise in delivering innovative web solutions to its healthcare clients. For Wishard Health Services, based in Indianapolis, Indiana and spanning 33 locations, the key objective for their website was to empower patients, through web-based tools and resources, to take an active role in managing their personal health and rehabilitation online. MedTouch launched a new, patient-centric site powered by Sitecore CMS, weaving a portal and helpful health 2.0 tools into a single, intuitive interface. The results after two months included a 310% increase in total visits and a 200% increase in Find a Doctor searches.

MedTouch and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center created an online campaign for their Orthopaedics service line to track the number of consumers using keyword search to find healthcare information online. MedTouch created a microsite showcasing Dartmouth-Hitchcocks Orthopaedics services, supported by patient testimonials and information on hospital specialists. The microsite employs search engine optimization and paid search keywords to improve Dartmouth-Hitchcocks visibility and to draw patients into the microsite as they search Google for local and regional treatment options. Dartmouth-Hitchcock has received more than 175 quality leads during the campaign so far; some of which have converted into surgical procedures such as hip and knee replacements and shoulder repairs.

The MedTouch solution for Drexel Medicine was devised to enhance patient-physician relationships, facilitate better customer service, build loyalty and trust among customers and increase their market share. It is based on the Sitecore CMS SQL 2008 ENT Platform and features a signature MedTouch Healthcare Module. Find a Doctor functionality includes Doctor profile pages in the Physician Module that are optimized for search engine ranking so that individual doctor names rank in top Google positions. A-Z search and advanced search options, Secure Concierge Log In with doctor contact information for other physicians and medical staff, and Print to PDF option for consumers.

It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Interactive Media Awards, said MedTouch CEO and Founding Partner, Paul Griffiths. These projects are representative examples of the highly satisfying consumer experiences that MedTouch delivers for our healthcare clients.
