The first annual “George Avery Award” presented by Coach George Karl of the Denver Nuggets and Sue Goodin, CEO of Progressive Health Center, was given to George Avery in honor of his commitment to Cancer Awareness in the Denver community specifically for his involvement with the Cancer Care Initiative (http://beatitwithateam.org).
“George is a very good friend of mine, but I still dont know what he does,” joked Coach George Karl, “but whatever it is, he has made a lot of money doing it.”
George Avery is CEO of Native Rank, an Internet Search Solutions company in Denver, and Get Ads, LLC., a top Digital Marketing and Advertising Agency, both located in Denver. In his acceptance speech at the Awards Breakfast at Coohills on 1400 Wewatta Street, Avery commented that after the passing of his father from Pancreatic Cancer, he wanted to find a way to make a difference. Now, as a successful young entrepreneur, Avery found he has the opportunity to do just that.
His hope is to push the younger Denver crowd to become more involved in local Nonprofit organizations, like the Cancer Care Initiative, and not rely solely upon established Denver community members to carry all the weight. “Younger entrepreneurs have the ability to affect real change, right here in Denver. It’s up to us to get involved now, and stay involved for causes we believe in strongly,” said Avery.
In 2012, Native Rank donated over $ 180,000 in SEO services to five Nonprofits. They also secured over $ 600,000 in Google Grants for Online Marketing and Advertising.
Last month, Native Rank launched their Nonprofit Initiative, through which they secure Google Grants and manage Pay Per Click campaigns for any 501 c(3) that wants to increase their online presence. When accepted into the program, each Nonprofit receives $ 10,000 a month in Pay Per Click Advertising from Google. Native Ranks goal is to service over 200 nonprofits, managing over $ 24 million in Google AdWords Campaigns by the end of 2013. MyLifeLine.org, Progressive Health Center Imerman Angels and Love Hope Strength have all been assisted by Native Rank.
