Many small business or organizations want to establish a strong web presence, but feel intimidated by all the technical jargon. Even those owners with an existing site may simply want to increase traffic or learn some new skills that might help turn site visitors into customers. Consider this web design seminar to help build confidence and skills!

Mid-West web design company, Technopole Website Services, is offering a free web design seminar every Sunday beginning September 11, 2011 at the Great Mall of the Great Plains (20700 West 151st Street, Suite 163, Olathe, KS 66061).

The objectives of the seminar include domain name selection and registration, basic web design principles and practices, and finally ways to increase site traffic through optimization for search engines.

Although the seminars are geared to small business owners, community organizations, and non-profits, individuals who are interested in learning how to create and maintain a website are also welcomed to attend.

The seminar is broken down into 2 sessions from 2:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m and 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. every Sunday. The first session will cover all of the web basics including domain name selection and registration, web presence and design selection, and hosting principles. The second session is hands-on and covers actual design using web design template applications, traffic optimization and search engine submission, and internet marketing techniques.

Although the seminar itself is free, there is a domain name purchase necessary in order to use the web design templates and have individuals create their own sites. Domain name registrations begin at $ 9.99 per year and are registered to the participant. Class size is limited by available computers, so email contact information to seminar(at)technopole(dot)us in order to lock in registration.
