Sidus Group, Sidus Group Annapolis-based Web Design and Cloud Hosting pioneer, is pleased to announce the launch of a newly redesigned website for the Fort Meade Alliance. The new site offers a user-friendly layout for greater ease in navigation; enhanced features such as an online membership application and renewal process; and an updated look and feel.
The Fort Meade Alliance initially approached Sidus Group with concerns that their website was difficult for members to navigate. Sidus Group Creative Director, Jackie Dee suggested the inclusion of a site map in the footer of all pages, sub-navigation on the right side of every section, site search capability and breadcrumbs. The old FMA website had good bones but needed modern, updated usability, said Dee. They also needed enhanced functionality to capture more data, so we came up with a design strategy that accomplished that goal and made their jobs much easier.
The Fort Meade Alliance is an independent membership organization that supports and promotes Fort George G. Meade as an economic asset and resource to the region. The growing, vibrant organization has more than 235 company members, representing 30,000 local employees. The new website, http://www.ftmeadealliance.org, now includes: membership application and renewal; calendaring; event registration; a photo gallery; video capability and is WAI 2.0 Section 508 Compliant. In addition, the site also uses Joomla Content Management System which provides Fort Meade Alliance staff members the ability to edit all aspects of the site at any time without difficulty.
